Hollymount NS was delighted to take part in this year’s Fís Film project 2014 What is the FÍS Film Project? FÍS is a successful film project currently thriving in primary schools across Ireland. The initiative encourages children to explore the medium of film in the primary classroom developing essential skills in moving-image literacy, communication, teamwork, visual arts and even numeracy … oh yes, and it’s also lots of fun!...

Our ‘Parents Association’ organised a very successful Halloween Party on 27/10/2014. We had lots of trick-a-treaters, delicious home-baking, played games, tattooes and we even had a visit from a  scientist . We had lots of fun. Happy Halloween everyone!

Our fantastic Parents Association were bag packing in Dunnes Stores, Killarney on Thur 25th, Fri 26th & Sat 27th Sept. A big thank you to the all our helpers and shoppers for their support.

We have done it! Our film project ‘THE FAIRYTALES OF HOLLYMOUNT’ has been awarded ‘Highly Commended’ . We are dellighted to be invited to the ‘Fís Film Festival’ in the Helix, Dublin on Nov 4th to recieve our award. We are also delighted to announce our film will be screened as part of the ‘Kerry film festival’ on Oct 6th in Tralee.
