Community Garda Dave Woods visited Hollymount NS. He talked to us about road safety-to always wear our seat belts when travelling in cars. He also told us to wear a helmet if we are cycling. We had lots of fun with his handcuffs!  

Mary from Kerry Life came to visit us in March. A most enjoyable day had by all. Shrone NS joined us this year.

On November 27th we were visited by Sean Radley & Jack Roche who talked to us about: A day in the bog, Milking in the past and the ‘box iron’. We collected a number of wonderful artefacts prior to their visit.  

We held a Cheerios Childline Breakfast. Everyone enjoyed eating Cheerios together. We raised €40 for Childline.

We visited St. Joseph’s Day care centre just before Christmas and brought some of our Christmas shows to them. We were most welcomed by Eileen O Donoghue who was a past pupil of Hollymount NS herself! We really enjoyed our visit.  

The Junior Room had great fun in cooking class making a Gingerbread train! Everyone helped to construct and decorate it. It also tasted delicious. We think you’ll agree that it looked fantastic!
